Okay, the term lazy susans does not refer to that group of girls at work who never carry their fair share of the load. The term refers to one of those handy dandy devices you have seen that is like a round, spinning, serving tray. These are great fun at parties and very useful, too.

Little kids love them so they can sit and spin on them, but they are more valuable as a kitchen aid than anything else. For example, if you have a lot of people at the table, it can get confusing on which way to pass, and who has the corn, and that sort of thing, right? With a turning tray all you have to do is wait for the dish you want to come around.

One of these is perfect for fondue. Fondue is where everyone sort of cooks for themselves, placing goodies on skewers and them dipping them in various sauces and oils. Meat and cheese are big favorites, and there is even chocolate for dessert.

If yours is more of a breakfast crowd, then why not set up a system for an omelet bar? Or to get even simpler just use it for several boxes of cereal and cartons of milk? Just pile up everything and let them pick and choose as the world turns right there in front of them. This is perfect, again, for larger groups and for folks that are on the go.

For the adult entertainment crowd, this is an ideal way to set up a serve your self bar. Skip the rows and neat orderly lines and put all of the bottles and mixes and add-ins any old place on the tray, and then all they have to do is turn to the ones they want. Even the tipsiest can figure out this system, and it is kind of fun at that.

From breakfast to dinner to play time, for both the kids and the grownups, lazy susans can serve almost any serving need. When it is time to entertain, and you want to make things easier for everybody involved, get several and let the good times roll, or spin.

Those who have a knife block wouldn’t want to put their knives anywhere else. Whether they use it for safety, convenience or storage, this item comes in quite handy. Some of them are even made to hold more than just knives. They can hold other utensils that are sharp or made for sharpening.

Many people store their knives in the same drawer as they store their eating or cooking utensils. While this might seem to make sense since they are all items having to do with food, it really isn’t a safe practice. It’s just too easy to reach into a drawer in search of a fork and end up cutting yourself with a blade.

Many people don’t realize how easily blades can be dulled. They might get a nick in them or just be rubbed against something that would dull them. You can prolong the life of your knives by putting them in an area where they won’t get damaged.

Have you ever been in the middle of a project and have to stop to search fro the right knife to use. You look all over the place and just can’t find it. Maybe you weren’t the one to put the dishes away or maybe someone simply didn’t know where to put the knife. If you had a knife block, you could easily locate it in its obvious place.

The block is portable and small enough to easily store. That’s good news for you if you have young people in the house that may hurt themselves on a blade. You can out them out of the way so that smaller children don’t have any access to them. This is a simple method of preventing an accident.

Anyone who has a knife in their kitchen can find a reason to own a knife block. It doesn’t matter whether it’s because of a safety concern or simple convenience. This device just simplifies life for everyone.
